Galaxy S8 tipped to get bigger battery than the Galaxy S7

Smartphone manufacturers are choosing slimmer designs over bigger batteries more and more these days, but Samsung won’t be following that trend with the Galaxy S8. According to new reports, the company’s next flagship will have a bigger battery than the Galaxy S7.

South Korea’s ITCLE reports that Samsung has ordered 3,250mAh batteries for the standard Galaxy S8, and 3,750mAh batteries for the larger Galaxy S8 Plus. In comparison, last year’s Galaxy S7 featured a 3,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S7 edge clocked in at 3,600mAh.
