Elle Fanning Celebrates Nomination in Black Dress at ‘Pre-Emmy Festivities’
Elle Fanning is the ultimate It Girl.
Fanning, 28, took to Instagram on Sunday, September 13, to show off her glamorous side in a sexy black dress while enjoying a pre-Emmy event ahead of TV’s biggest night. While attending W Magazine and Loewe’s Intimate Emmy Awards Dinner, the Margo’s Got Money Troubles star looked chic in a Balmain dress featuring a plunging neckline, halter straps and a bodycon silhouette. Styled by Samantha McMillen, Fanning teamed the curve-hugging look with strappy Manolo Blahnik heels.
She let the look speak for itself and opted for no jewelry. For glam, Fanning stunned with a dewy base, courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Erin Ayanian Monroe, including glowy foundation, bronzed and blushed cheeks and a touch of highlighter on her high points. Her beat was finished with bronze eyeshadow, manicured brows, mascara and pink, lined lips. Her blonde hair, which was colored by Jenda Alcorn, was parted down the middle and worn down and straightened.
“Pre-Emmy festivities 🖤🖤🖤🖤,” Fanning captioned the post.
Celebrity friends and fans were quick to praise her timeless look in the comments section.

Fanning’s post came one day before the 2026 Emmys, which are being held on Monday, September 14, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Fanning is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance as Margo Millet in Margo’s Got Money Troubles. The show is also up for Best Comedy Series.
This isn’t the first time Fanning has been nominated for an Emmy. In 2022, she was up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series after portraying Catherine the Great in Hulu’s The Great.
This year, Mariska Hargitay is hosting the awards show, which fans can watch on NBC and Peacock Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
