At long last, Square Enix has confirmed that it is working for an English localization for Dragon Quest XI, the next game in the company’s longest running franchise. The game will be released in the English-speaking world, as well as French, Spanish, Italian and German countries, with the subtitle Echoes of the Elusive Age in 2018 as confirmed by series creator Yuji Horii himself.
The announcement does not mention which versions of the games will be released. PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS builds launched on Saturday in Japan, and a Nintendo Switch version is also in the works.
There’s quite a lot of text, so it’s an exorbitant amount of work,†said series creator Yuji Horii said in an announcement video. “But we’re doing our best and working hard to get this game to all of you as soon as possible.
