Blackberry ends agreement with Chinese-manufacturer TCL to make, sell phones

BlackBerry Mobile says TCL Communication will no longer be creation or offered BlackBerry-branded mobile devices.

The association sealed a code chartering and record support deal with TCL Communication in Dec 2016 as partial of a devise to stop making smartphones and concentration on software.

Under a terms of that agreement, BlackBerry protected its security program and use suite, as good as associated code assets to TCL Communication.

However, BlackBerry tweeted currently that TCL Communication will no longer sell BlackBerry-branded mobile inclination as of Aug. 31.

TCL Communication also has no serve rights to design, manufacture or sell any new BlackBerry devices.

However, a association will continue to yield support for the existing portfolio of mobile inclination until Aug. 21, 2022 or as long as compulsory by internal laws where a device was purchased.
