ASUS is now accepting pre-orders for its first Google Tango-powered smartphone, the Zenfone AR, in the United Kingdom. The handset is priced at £799 ($1,037) and comes with a complimentary Daydream View, but the first thirty customers will also receive a box full of goodies, including a case and a pair of headphones.
As the Zenfone AR supports augmented reality out of the box, you’d expect it to have some pretty impressive internals — and it does. Under the hood, you’ll find a 5.7-inch QHD display, a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor, 6/8GB of RAM, a 23MP rear-facing camera, an 8MP selfie shooter and a 3,300mAh battery.
The Zenfone AR is the first smartphone ASUS has launched in the United Kingdom in a couple of years, so we expect to see a handful of its other handsets go up for order over the course of the next few weeks. We wouldn’t be wrong to assume that the firm’s next flagship, which is rumored to be called the Zenfone 4, will also hit the shelves in the region.
