Andy Cohen’s appearance on CNN’s live New Year’s Eve broadcast ignited speculation, yet again, about the TV personality’s relationship with plastic surgery.

“I just saw the new clips of Andy Cohen on NYE and WTF did he do to his face?!?” a social media user wrote via Threads on Thursday, January 1. “Is he trying to find a new husband at Mar-a-Lago?”

Cohen, 57, replied in the comments section, revealing exactly why he looked different on the air.

“Did the smallest amount of Botox and lost 20 pounds,” Cohen wrote via Threads. “And had a lot of makeup on.”

Cohen, who cohosted the holiday special with BFF Anderson Cooper, had the support of many of his famous friends.

“And are v handsome!” Monica Lewinsky replied, while author Lynette Rice added, “Don’t forget to mention your fabulous hair!”

In addition to using Botox and makeup, Cohen has been candid about his wellness journey, which he started last year.

“I was really unhappy with my weight,” the Bravo star said on a September 2025 episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live radio show. “My doctor and I talked about this last year. [He] had recommended a GLP-1 a few times to not only address what I was feeling about my weight, but treat plaque in my arteries and high blood pressure.”

According to Cohen, he “micro-dosed” the injections while also overhauling his diet and exercise routine.

“I will also say I feel privileged to have access to a GLP-1 and I think everybody should through insurance,” Cohen said, revealing he has since stopped taking the GLP-1 shots. “My appetite returned from the micro-dose. I feel like it caused me to reframe my relationship with food.”

He continued, “I’m so happy also to have been on this journey under the care of a doctor and working with a trainer to make sure that we have done this right.”

Months earlier, Cohen revealed that he got Botox injections for the first time.

“What I really want to know is who gets more Botox, you or Scott?” he asked Dr. Contessa Metcalfe during the Married to Medicine season 11 reunion in April 2025, referring to her husband.

After Dr. Contessa, 49, revealed husband Scott Metcalfe had gotten a little Botox in his forehead, she proclaimed that “men aren’t supposed to get [it] as frequently as women.”

“I just got it for the first time in my life,” Cohen replied. “About a month ago, they gave me a little.”

Fellow Married to Medicine star Toya Bush-Harris jumped in to give Cohen her own advice about his cosmetic journey.

“It’s supposed to hit faster than a month,” Bush-Harris, 49, said. “Come [down] to Atlanta. Come home to Atlanta.”

Cohen previously claimed he wasn’t interested in trying injectables at all.

“I’ve not touched it. I’ve never even had Botox. Joan Rivers, before she died, used to beg me to get Botox,” Cohen said on a 2024 episode of the “How to Fail” podcast. “Every guy that I know who’s hosting a TV show, mainly all of them are younger than me or about my age. They all have had Botox. I look at their foreheads. I’m like, ‘Your forehead does not move.’”
