2026 Grammys Style Forecast: Shining Metallic Gowns Take Over the Red Carpet
Fans are sure to see a number of metallic dresses at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Us Weekly is predicting stars to shine their brightest in chrome looks at the awards show, which is set to take place on Sunday, February 1, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
When A-listers struck a pose on recent red carpets, one fad was prevalent, and that was glimmering gowns. Us thinks we’ll see more where that came from on music’s biggest night.
The look has been popular as of late, with It Girls Kylie Jenner and Kate Hudson stunning in reflective dresses at the 2026 Golden Globes.
Hudson, 46, for her part, looked regal in a Giorgio Armani Privé dress featuring a halter neckline with thin straps, a fitted silhouette and fringe cascading down her legs. Her dress was even more eye-catching with crystal embellishments sparkling with every move she made.
The trendsetter made her look even more fabulous with diamond accessories, including a tennis bracelet, a silver ring and dangling earrings.
Hudson’s glam was just as radiant as her dress, featuring a dewy base with bronzed and blushed cheeks. The rest of her makeup was complete with filled-in eyebrows, pink, lined lips and soft eyeshadow finished with a shimmery shade on her lids and long lashes. Hudson’s blonde hair was parted down the middle and styled in a chic updo.
On the red carpet, Hudson chatted with Mary Beth Barone, who served as a red carpet correspondent at the Globes.
“I know it’s early in the night, but this could be a best ever,” Barone, 34, told the actress. Hudson gasped at her comment and replied, “Thank you! I love this dress. It took, like, over 100 hours to make. It’s a serious piece of art.”
“I just love it,” she added.
Jenner, 28, also made headlines for her curve-hugging gold dress at the Globes. Designed by Ashi Studios, her frock featured a strappy beaded neckline, sweetheart cups and a bodycon fit. Jenner shared behind-the-scenes shots of herself getting ready for the event via Instagram, including a clip of her getting laced into the design, which had a built-in corset.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder complemented her look with diamond stud earrings, bronzed eyeshadow blended to her crease and a lighter brown shade tapped on her lids. She made her look even more glamorous with long lashes, rosy cheeks, bronzed chin and lined lips.
Jenner tied her ensemble together with her dark brown hair parted down the middle and styled in a slicked-back ponytail with her ends straightened.

“Golden globes @ashistudio 🪽,” she captioned photos of her look. Jenner’s friends were quick to praise her ensemble in the comments section.
“So beautiful,” Hailey Bieber wrote, while Bella Thorn added, “Literal goddess 🔥.” Lauren Sánchez Bezos also commented, “Beautiful ❤️.”
While Jenner didn’t walk the red carpet, she supported her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet throughout the evening. The duo, who started dating in 2023, cuddled up throughout the show and shared a kiss. Chalamet, 30, took home the trophy for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his part in Marty Supreme.
