2026 Grammys Style Forecast: Ovation-Worthy Red Carpet Hair Moments
Before the awards are handed out and the speeches get underway, the Grammys always deliver some of their most unforgettable moments on the red carpet.
At Us Weekly, we’re predicting ovation-level hair moments this year that will stop photographers mid-shout and send beauty group chats into meltdown. Our style forecast has 2026 attendees bringing high-shine finishes to polished textures, ensuring all eyes will be on the mane event.
Us is calling it early — Grammys hair is about to command as much attention as the music itself when the stars gather at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 1.
One star who stole the show last year was Cardi B, who stunned with an old Hollywood-inspired bob with curls. The chart-topping performer complemented her sleek look with a custom one-shoulder Roberto Cavalli Couture mermaid gown covered in beads and sequins that also featured a feathered train. She completed her glam with brown eyeshadow, chestnut-lined lips with a nude gloss and a dramatic stiletto nail manicure.
Us is predicting (extra) length or drama when it comes to her hairstyle at the 2026 Grammys.
Fans are looking forward to seeing what the music artist will bring to the red carpet this year after she received a nod for her single “Outside” in the Best Rap Performance category. There’s no doubt Cardi will bring her A-game again, considering this marks her 11th career nomination. “All I had was 16 dollars and a dream,” she posted via Instagram while celebrating her latest accomplishment in November 2025.

Last year, Jennifer Lopez rocked a voluminous blowout courtesy of longtime hairstylist Chris Appleton while making a surprise appearance at the 67th Grammy Awards. She arrived on the scene in a black cropped turtleneck and sheer skirt by Stéphane Rolland to present Best Latin Pop Album. More recently, the singer turned to the celebrity stylist yet again while hitting up the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, for which she wore a French twist updo.
Us predicts that a handful of celebs will follow her lead at the 2026 Grammys, and opt for a sleek and chic style that pulls their hair out of their face — whether it be half up or slicked back to perfection — and lets their dress do the talking.
As for Sabrina Carpenter, who is nominated for six Grammy Awards, it would be a surprise to see her in an updo, but a classic waved look is her go-to so our guess is a variation of that style.

Us is also expecting an iconic hair moment from Lola Young, who received nominations in the Best New Artist category as well as in Best Pop Solo Performance. The “Messy” hitmaker is known to rock two-toned colors and choppy styles when it comes to her tresses, and it’s likely she’ll opt for a signature Lola look. There’s a chance she could go for a polished ‘do, but we’re anticipating a perfectly unkempt slay on the red carpet to go with her outfit choice for the night.

Stars love to push boundaries with their fashion at the Grammys, and the “Wish You Were Dead” singer is no different.
