2026 Grammys Style Forecast: Designer Heels That Balance Elegance and Impact
The 2026 Grammy Awards are about to get elevated.
With music’s biggest night right around the corner, Us Weekly predicts the star-studded soiree will be ruled by stilettos that bring polish, power and extra height.
Designers have been leaning into ultra-refined shapes, like pointed-toe pumps, in colors that can be coordinated with just the right outfit, or in a hue that completely shakes things up.
We’re anticipating a mix of monochromatic magic and intentional dramatic contrast — think jewel-toned dresses finished with metallic heels or white gowns with jet black heels. Cameras are sure to catch every angle, so we’re confident stars are going to deliver plenty of great red carpet moments.
Take, for example, the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. Zendaya dropped jaws in a burnt orange satin Louis Vuitton number with a sweetheart neckline, also rocking a pair of custom matching pumps.
Ariana Grande also opted for a matching shoe when she hit the 2025 Golden Globes in a soft yellow gown with a beaded bodice from the Haute Couture S/S 1966 collection by Hubert de Givenchy, pairing the look with a similar-toned pointed-toe heel that peeked out from the bottom of her dress.
“It’s yellow because follow the yellow brick road,” Grande told Variety leading up to the ceremony. “And it’s one of Glinda’s favorite colors,” she added, referencing her movie Wicked: For Good. “My stylist Mimi [Cuttrell] and I found it and we were so excited.”
Amal Clooney also put her own spin on the trend at this year’s Golden Globes, wearing a red form-fitting Balmain gown that featured elegant ruching, accessorizing with Cartier diamond earrings and an 18k white gold tennis bracelet. She rocked matching pointed-toe stilettos for the red carpet, before changing into a look that touched on Us‘ other trend prediction. For the afterparty, she stepped out wearing a fierce sequin Versace mini dress paired with metallic heels for a pop of color.

At the Grammys, fashion is often personal, fearless, and a way to stand out from the crowd.
Last year, Taylor Swift rocked the Grammys red carpet in a ruby off-the-shoulder dress, wearing open toe pumps that showed off her manicured toes. She dazzled in a sequin micro mini by Vivienne Westwood, pairing the look with a thigh chain with heart stones and a red initial “T” charm, a nod to her now-fiancé Travis Kelce, matching Casadei heels and her signature crimson lip.
Sabrina Carpenter, for her part, wowed in a backless powder blue gown designed by JW Anderson that came equipped with a feathered train and waist. As she walked off the red carpet, her team lifted her dress to avoid any damage to the bottom, displaying her sky-high pumps that perfectly complimented the look.
Lady Gaga did what she does best by making a fashion statement in an edgy black long-sleeve Samuel Lewis gown paired with knee-high Wolford stockings and platform heels.

At a red carpet where self-expression reigns, Us believes the shoes will be just as unforgettable as the music.
