San Francisco 49ers acquired star running back Christian McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers. And the move has already brought some success for San Francisco, which saw McCaffrey account for three touchdowns in a win over the Rams on Sunday.

Players who could be traded

► RB Kareem Hunt: The Cleveland Browns backup running back would be a starter on most NFL teams if he wasn’t playing behind Nick Chubb.
► WR Brandin Cooks: The Houston Texans player could be one of the most talented receiving options available. Cooks is due more than $1 million for the rest of the season, but is under contract for $18 million next year.

► The Eagles strengthened their defense by acquiring defensive end Robert Quinn from the Chicago Bears.
► The Kansas City Chiefs hope to catch lightning in a bottle with former first-round receiver Kadarius Toney after acquiring him from the Giants.
► The Dallas Cowboys, who have one of the league’s worst run defenses, traded for defensive lineman Johnathan Hankins from the Raiders.
► The New York Jets acquired running back James Robinson from the Jaguars after Breece Hall tore his ACL.
► The Arizona Cardinals added receiver help in veteran Robbie Anderson from the Panthers.
