  • February 28, 2021

Michael McDowell opened the season by winning the Daytona 500 after  escaping a big last-lap crash ignited by Brad Keselowski — making a move for the win — and his Penske teammate and late leader Joey Logano. One week later, Christopher Bell pulled off a stunner in his second season in NASCAR’s premier series, passing Logano coming to the white flag on the Daytona road course.
