Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets expressed anguish over cyberbullying in handwritten suicide note: ‘I could not take anymore’
Late Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets left a suicide note which referenced cyberbullying he had been dealing with in the timeframe leading to his tragic death more than two months ago.
Investigators recovered a handwritten note in a basket in a bathroom closet near the area where the reality star was found dead April 22 at 67, the Lake Havasu City Police Department said in an incident report reviewed by TMZ.
Sheets, who died of ‘what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,’ police said, alluded to the cyberbullying issues he said he dealt with on social media in the handwritten note, according to authorities.
It read, ‘I could not take anymore the Facebook bulling, f*** you [redacted].’
The Daily Mail has reached out to the Lake Havasu City Police Department for further comment on the story.
Sheets’ girlfriend, who was not identified by name in the report, told investigators that on the last night of his life, he complained he was not able to sleep, and got out of bed and stood near his home office, according to police.

He told his girlfriend to ‘go back to bed’ before she heard the sound of a gunshot, the report stated.
Sheets had been dealing with insomnia in the months prior to his passing, as his girlfriend told investigators that stress often left him unable to sleep, according to the report.
His girlfriend said that he had not talked about self-harm in the weeks ahead of his passing, and that their relationship had been going well at the time.
Sheets’ girlfriend said that he had been dealing with ‘family drama’ in the form of a verbal argument with his son Brandon Sheets that escalated with raised voices, according to the report.
She said she had left the house during the family confrontation, which had left Sheets ‘sad as hell’ in the aftermath.
Sheets’ girlfriend said the late reality star also was upset by text messages his daughter-in-law sent, saying she had been suspicious of his girlfriend and her actions in regard to his finances.
Police said in the incident report that Brandon Sheets had asked law enforcement to trespass his late father’s girlfriend from the home in the wake of his father’s death.
Authorities told Brandon that since she had been residing at the property when his father died, she would need to vacate the home on her own or be evicted.

Sheets’ girlfriend said that she had been residing at the home for three months and been acquainted with the reality star for more than a year at the time of his passing.
An autopsy on the late Storage Wars star indicated he had no traces of drugs in his system when he tragically took his own life.
A toxicology analysis on Sheets came back negative for cocaine, fentanyl, benzodiazepines and all other narcotic substances, Us Weekly previously reported after reviewing the findings of The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The ink from Sheets’ tattoos – which included a checkered flag, a joker, a female figure and the number 58 – did not have any impact on his health, officials said.
Examiners said in the report that Sheets’ ‘body is that of a well-developed, well-nourished adult male,’ officially ruling his death a suicide.
In May, Brandon Sheets posted images of his late father enjoying time with loved ones on what would have been his 68th birthday.
‘Happy Birthday @darrellgambler thank you for raising me to be the man I am today,’ Brandon, 42, said in an emotional Instagram post on May 13.
Brandon, who added the ZZ Top song Just Got Paid to the post, added, ‘Wish that I could spend just one more day with you … I love you dad and Happy Birthday 5/13/1958 to 4/22/2026.’

In a previous post on Instagram Stories, Brandon shared a clip from a prior birthday celebration for his father.
He said, ‘I know it’s early but I always called the night before… Happy Birthday Big-D.’
Brandon previously said he was heartbroken by his father’s death and vowed to continue living in a way that would have made him proud.
‘I love you Dad and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our Family,’ Brandon wrote on May 2 via Instagram. ‘Let’s all continue to build those memories and keep the legacy that is “Darrell (The Gambler) Sheets.”‘
The son of the late reality star said he was unable to ‘answer everyone’s questions or concerns right now.
‘I think we all just need time to process and remember all the good that my Father was and will continue to be through my Son and I. The love we all have for this man and all his kindness is only a small portion of who he truly is.’
He shared a series of images of him with his late parent, including one from a night at Medieval Times in which both donned paper crowns.
The AE show’s Brandi Passante sent kind sentiments to Brandon, writing, ‘I’m truly so sorry for the incredibly painful loss that you and your family have to endure … sending you love and hugs from afar.’
Brandon also on May 2 posted a series of family pictures via the account, writing, ‘Missing you hard today Dad.’
Brandon previously wrote on his Instagram account: ‘I love you Dad and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our Family’
According to the Lake Havasu City Police Department, Sheets’ body was transported to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office pending ‘further investigation.’
In the weeks before his death, Sheets said he had been dealing with a ‘cyber bully stalker’ who had tried to steal his identity.
LHCPD Sergeant Kyle Ridgeway confirmed to Page Six that investigators had folded the allegations of cyberbullying into their probe of Sheets’ passing.
Sheets appeared on a total of 163 Storage Wars episodes on AE spanning the years 2010-2023.
A bio on the show’s website touted his business skills, ‘Boasting a big game, Darrell is quick to tell you about the four Picassos and the world’s most lucrative comic book collection that he has scored through storage auctions.’
Sheets had suffered a heart attack in 2019, and ran a shop called Havasu Show Me Your Junk in Arizona in the years since.
He had been candid about his past battle with depression, calling it ‘the Devil’s way of attacking us’ in a powerful June 2018 Instagram post.
‘It knows no mercy, it takes our smiles it comes and goes, it ruins our relationships, it takes away our happiness, it leads to suicide in some cases, it destroys all thoughts of positivity, it is a 24/7 battle and allows no rest for the suffering,’ Sheets said. ‘It’s a very real deal.’
The TV personality advised his followers, ‘So please next time someone tells you they have Depression, be kind and know that they spend every minute they have breathing, suffering!!!’
