Richard Gere sold his spacious home in upstate New York for $24.15 million after six months on the market, earlier this week, according to TMZ.

The 72-year-old actor, who lived in the palatial Pound Ridge mansion for over two decades, originally listed the estate for 

His former residence, which sits on 50 acres of land situated about 50 miles from Manhattan, tallies up to $220,000 a year in taxes.

The compound includes an impressive five separate residences that are located all around the property.

The estate’s spacious three-story main house contains 19 rooms for a total of 11,600 square feet of living space.

It also includes a total of eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two half-baths, as well as nine fireplaces and several powder rooms.

The home’s kitchen has been updated with state-of-the-art appliances and features a charming granite-topped island. 

A gorgeous balcony provides plenty of entertaining room for guests seeking to take in the views of the idyllic space. 

Secondary residences on the spacious property include a building that was used as an office, a shed and a tri-cupula-ed six-stall barn.

The property boasts numerous rolling hills complete with several riding trails, as well as multiple gardens.

The media outlet also reported that ancient specimen trees lined the spacious property and that a pond was located on the land.

A beach and shoreline pavilion are also included with the residences, and a lawn-surrounded swimming pool and a full football pitch provide plenty of opportunity for entertainment.

The actor and his third wife, Alejandra Silva, recently moved into a red-brick mansion in nearby North Salem, which they purchased last year for $9.8million (pictured in May 2022) 

Gere previously owned a compound in the Hamptons that he attempted to sell for $65million, although he eventually settled for $33.75million.

The couple’s new residence includes a still-impressive 9,000 square feet of living space, and they also spent $700,000 on a vacant neighboring parcel to bring the total size of their new property to 35 acres.
