Olivia Rodrigo has announced a massive world tour in support of her upcoming third studio album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.

The 23-year-old pop act will release the album on June 12 and then embark on a globetrotting run of 65 concerts beginning September 25.

Entitled The Unraveled Tour, the venture will whisk Rodrigo around North America and the UK as well as various countries in continental Europe.

Her first weekend of shows will take place at the PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Connecticut, kicking off a whirl through American cities.

She is slated to alight on Pittsburgh, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville, Seattle, Las Vegas and more.

Rodrigo’s North American run will also feature an interlude in Canada, with concerts scheduled to take place in Montreal and Toronto in late October.

After a break over Christmas and New Year’s, she will plays Los Angeles and New York and then jet off across the Atlantic for an array of shows.

Her European stops will include Stockholm, Amsterdam, Munich, Nanterre, Milan and Barcelona, along with which she will play four gigs at The O2 Arena in London.

She has assembled an eclectic smorgasbord of opening acts, from the London rock bands Wolf Alice and The Last Dinner Party to the indie pop crooner Grace Ives.

The Austin, Texas-based rock band Die Spitz will warm up the crowd for Rodrigo at some of her European shows, while the Los Angeles synth pop songstress Devon Again will feature at a number of the American performances.

News of Rodrigo’s latest move came weeks after her former rumored rival Sabrina Carpenter set her fanbase ablaze by headlining Coachella for the first time.

Her second show attracted particular attention for the coup she achieved in netting no less than Madonna as her featured act.

Madonna reprised her classic hits Vogue and Like a Prayer and also performed a new song when she joined Carpenter onstage at the buzzy music festival.

Carpenter mounted a pull-the-stops-out extravaganza that offered a tip of the hat to showbiz history, drawing from a range of influences that encompassed 1930s musicals, film noir, Bob Fosse’s Cabaret and Samuel L Jackson’s Snakes on a Plane.

Her celebrity cameos included Jackson, Will Ferrell and Sam Elliott, as well as Susan Sarandon delivering a monologue as an older version of Carpenter.

A wrench was thrown into Carpenter’s triumph when Madonna announced that the priceless vintage costume pieces she had worn onstage had vanished.

Local law enforcement then clarified that the items ‘may have fallen off a golf cart,’ and that there was ‘no evidence’ they ‘were intentionally stolen.’

Carpenter and Rodrigo became the subject of fevered conjecture in the summer of 2020 when they were rumored to be in a love triangle with Joshua Bassett, who had co-starred with Rodrigo in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

The following year, Rodrigo poured fuel on the fire by releasing her runaway hit single Driver’s License, which was widely thought to be about Bassett and Carpenter.

‘And you’re probably with that blonde girl, who always made me doubt. She’s so much older than me,’ sang Rodrigo, who is nearly four years younger than Carpenter.

In more recent years, however, the two women evidently mended fences to the point they were spotted sharing a warm embrace at the 2025 Grammy Awards.

Rodrigo has since described her rapport with Carpenter as ‘all love,’ adding that ‘I’ve talked to her many times,’ via British Vogue.

‘I think she’s great. I’m so happy for all of her success too. I love the album she’s put out,’ added Rodrigo, referring to Carpenter’s latest release Man’s Best Friend.
