MTV Awards: Justin Hartley makes red carpet debut with girlfriend Sofia Pernas sporting matching rings
“This Is Us” star Justin Hartley and girlfriend Sofia Pernas made their red carpet debut as a couple at the MTV Movie and TV Awards on Sunday.
The duo walked the red carpet outside the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, making no attempt to disguise the matching rings on their wedding fingers. Hartley looked casual in a suede jacket, Pernas, an actress on the CBS adventure drama “Blood Treasure” wore a stunning coral dress.
Hartley and “This Is Us” co-star Many Moore presented the first award of the night for best hero to “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” star Anthony Mackie.
Hartley, 43, and Pernas, 31, were co-stars on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” The two became Instagram official with a New Year’s Eve selfie post.
“Last minutes of 2020 here in LA. Bring on 2021! Happy New Year!” Hartley captioned the post, along with a black-and-white photo of the two.
“Sayonara 2020, it’s been real. Happy New Year from our quarantine den to yours,” Pernas posted on her Instagram, complete with heart emoji.

In November 2019, Harley filed for divorce from his second wife, real-estate agent and “Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause, 39. The two were married for two years.
The end of their relationship was documented on the third season of Netflix’s “Selling Sunset.”
“I knew right away when I met Justin he was gonna be my husband,” Stause said in one episode. “I knew, so much so, that I text one of my bridesmaids that I found him.”
Stause, who was a major focus of the show’s third season, found out about her divorce in its fifth episode, titled “Bad News Travels Fast,” when she received a text message from Hartley that divorce papers had been filed.
“Forty-five minutes later, the world knew” via TMZ report, Stause said on the show.
Stause went on to join “Dancing With the Stars” in September.
“I am in a great place,” she said at the time. “That’s something that I’m looking forward to showing, because that wasn’t the case when I was filming (“Sunset) many months ago.”
