Mindy Kaling decided to tackle a daring outfit Sunday, sharing the look on social media and looking for some reassurance.
The 43-year-old posed in a bright pink halter top styled to look like a large flower with swaths of material to make the petals and a large jeweled brooch as the pistil.
The opulent top was connected with a crystal ties around the neck and across Mindy’s otherwise bare back. The crystal rosette top by Area sells for $1295.

The Never Have I Ever creator paired the floral top with a pair of faded wide leg jeans with crystal embellishments on the fly and one of the pockets.
A cutout at the back waistband added to the sexy look.
Writing on Instagram, the nervous actress asked, ‘I’m too old for this outfit slash I am hoping you tell me I’m not?!?!’

Her friends and fans responded quickly, with actress Kelly Oxford declaring, ‘“Am I too old..?” Needs to be removed from lexicon…I love this on you.’
Abbot Elementary star Quinta Brunson chimed in with her own, ‘Omg Mindy wtf (heart eyes emoji.) and The Rookie: Feds lead Niecy Nash called the look ‘E V E R Y T H I N G.’ Even Barbie got in on the act commenting ‘here for this (flower emoji.)
Mindy has steadily lost weight in recent months after opting to ‘eat less’. She doesn’t hope on the scales but is pleased with the results.
She recently tolc Entertainment Tonight: ‘I eat what I like to eat. If I do any kind of restrictive diet, it never really works for me. I just eat less of it. I wish there was something more juicy or dynamic about the way that I’ve lost a little bit of weight, but that’s the way I’ve done it.’
Mindy is currently working the TV series Velma, based on the brainy Scooby-Doo character.

The busy media executive will provide the voice for the title character in the cartoon comedy, working alongside Sam Richardson and Constance Wu. She is also a co-creator on the animated series which fills us in on Velma’s backstory before she teamed up with Daphne, Freddie, Shaggy and Scooby.
Mindy pushed back against criticism about her voicing the iconic Saturday morning character with a hilarious teaser trailer in which Velma is sending a text to HBO Max complaining about a proposed Judy Jetson series claiming ‘if there is one thing the internet agrees on is you should never change anything ever.’
Her team is creating 10 episodes of the mystery show that will debut on HBO Max sometime in 2023.
