Miley Cyrus is coming in like a “Wrecking Ball” in response to a critical review of her new EP “She Is Coming,” released Friday.

The 26-year-old musician took author of the Highsnobiety’s review, Sydney Gore, to task on Twitter Tuesday in some NSFW tweets. In her write-up titled: “Miley Cyrus’ ‘She Is Coming’ Is a Directionless Hot Mess Express,” Gore knocks the work as “flaccid,” and says it is “rusty and honestly should not have come out of the studio in this condition.”

Gore’s words didn’t sit well with Cyrus.

“Lol. I finally found a (expletive) review of SHE IS COMING,” she tweeted, with a screenshot of the review. “Ps my moms name is Tish,” Cyrus added, correcting Gore who referred to her as Trish. “#DoYourResearch”

At the bottom of the review, links were included for readers who wanted to buy or stream the work, which Cyrus acknowledged in a follow-up tweet.

“(Ps thanks for putting buy/stream link at the end of your (expletive) article / although I’m pretty sure everyone has bought and streamed,” Cyrus wrote, “but I’m sure it was helpful for those who are as out of touch as you are)”

As of Tuesday afternoon, there were no Billboard chart numbers available to monitor the EP’s performance since its release Friday.

There was one positive Cyrus found and posted about.

“At least you fact checked one thing hennnny,” she commented, sharing a screenshot that highlighted Gore’s belief that Cyrus will “always be a talented singer-songwriter with a voice that could kill…”

Highsnobiety stood by its writer in a statement issued to USA TODAY Tuesday by Jennifer Ong of its public relations team.

“On behalf of the editorial team, we support Sydney Gore’s review of Miley (Cyrus)’ ‘She is Coming’ and regret the misprint of her mother’s name, which we have corrected in the article,” the statement read.

It’s worth mentioning USA TODAY was also unimpressed with the EP.

Our review noted: “On paper, the EP is the perfect Cyrus release. But after a few listens, it’s difficult to muster enthusiasm for any of its specific songs, which fall short of her career’s previous highlights. ‘She Is Coming’ may show off the many facets of Cyrus as an artist, but it’s largely an emotionless listen.”
