Kodak Black on Tuesday entered a guilty plea to first-degree assault and battery in Florence, South Carolina, and was given 18 months probation in connection with the plea and a 10-year suspended prison sentence.
The 23-year-old rapper decide to plea down after he was first indicted on felony first-degree criminal sexual conduct, his lawyer Bradford Cohen told TMZ, noting that the rapper was focused on ending the legal case with the plea.
The Tunnel Vision artist, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was first charged in connection with the February 2016 incident which took place inside a Florence hotel, as prosecutors said he had both pushed and bit the victim’s breast and neck in the incident. (The rapper denied the accusations.)

The victim subsequently reported what had happened to her school nurse, which led to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office taking the case.
Kodak Black had posted a $100,000 bond in the incident in December 2016, prior to his indictment.

Under the terms of his state-supervised probation, the Pompano Beach, Florida native must check in with his probation officer about his comings and goings, and location of his residence, according to the outlet.
He is barred from using drugs or alcohol or owning guns amid the course of the 18 months, TMZ reported. He will not be mandated to wear an ankle bracelet as terms of his release.

Kodak Black’s friend Lamar Jackson, the quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, had been planning to testify on the rapper’s behalf, but departed after the hearing commenced, according to the Post and Courier.
Kodak Black took to Twitter Wednesday to comment on the case, writing, ‘5 yrs later … both us just wanted to get this s*** over wit AND I ain’t have to come off no money.
He added that his ‘heart goes out to all the girls out here getting raped and s*** FORREAL, But I Ain’t Did That S*** Man.
The rapper has sold more than 30 million in the last seven years, with hits including Zeze and No Flockin.
The rapper earlier this year had a conviction on federal weapons violations commuted by former President Donald Trump, on Trump’s last day in office.
