The 51-year-old said: ‘I love Selena, she was such a big part of my life and my career. And I can’t wait to see it!’ in a clip shared to the Netflix Instagram page on Tuesday.

Jennifer said in the brief video: ‘Guys, I don’t know if you’ve heard about this new Selena series on Netflix.’
She continued: ‘Playing Selena was kind of a landmark moment in my career. And I was so excited when I saw the trailer and heard about it.’

Jennifer played Selena 23 years ago – in the 1997 biographical drama film called Selena – which was also her breakout role of her career.
Jennifer, who was 26 at the time of filming Selena, bares an uncanny resemblance to the icon.
Part one of the new Netflix of the Selena is set to be released on the streaming network on December 4 with The Walking Dead star Christian Serratos, 30, playing Selena.
The show will be split in two parts with part one (debuting December 4) featuring six one-hour episodes.
In addition to Christian, Gabriel Chavarria, Ricardo Chavira, Noemi Gonzalez and Seidy Lopez also star in the series.
Creator and Executive producer Moises Zamora worked with the Quintanilla family on the project.

Selena Quintanilla, the Queen of Tejano Music, was a beloved singer and songwriter and one of the top-selling Latin artists of the 1990s decade and one of the best-selling female artists in Latin Music history, according to Billboard.
The Grammy-awarding winning artist was born in Lake Jackson, Texas on April 16, 1971.
Selena was shot and killed by Yolanda Saldivar, her friend and the former manager of her boutiques.
She died on March 31, 1995, 16 days before her 24th birthday.
Part One of Selena: The Series debuts December 4 on Netflix.
