Jennifer Lopez appeared to take a subtle swipe at her ex Ben Affleck as the star revealed that she regrets not being single ‘sooner.’
The 56-year-old singer, who has been busy promoting her upcoming Netflix film Office Romance, discussed her relationship status during Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Lopez had said ‘I do’ to Affleck in 2022 but filed for divorce on their second wedding anniversary. Their divorce was officially finalized last year in February.
At one point during the interview, Kimmel asked the On The Floor hitmaker, ‘You’re single right now?’
‘I am!’ she confirmed with a cheerful smile as the audience erupted into supportive cheers and applause.
‘I should have done it sooner,’ Lopez further expressed to the host. ‘I’ve been doing it all wrong. I’ve been doing it all wrong, trust me.’

Kimmel then questioned the actress, ‘Would you consider becoming the next Bachelorette here on ABC?’
‘No,’ she quickly replied while giving her head a shake. ‘Are you crazy! I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now.’
Lopez then added that being single was ‘fantastic’ before sharing whether she plans to find love later in the future.
‘I’ll find somebody somewhere one day if they’re good enough,’ the star nonchalantly added.
The mom-of-two has been filtering through a busy schedule as she prepares for her upcoming rom-com Office Romance to hit Netflix on June 5.
Along with Lopez and Goldstein, the cast also includes Betty Gilpin, Edward James Olmos, Amy Sedaris and Tony Hale.
The premise is: ‘Jackie (Lopez), President and CEO of Air Cruz, runs a tight ship in her business, including a rigid anti-fraternization policy for all her employees. When a new sexy lawyer begins working for her, that policy becomes very tested,’ per IMDB.
The singer reflected on working with the Ted Lasso actor as she made an appearance at the Netflix 2026 Upfront Red Carpet event in NYC earlier this month.

‘We had great chemistry to begin with. It just grew as we did the film together,’ she told People.
‘I expected more of a rough guy, but you get this kind, gentle but also very smart person that is so charming. That was a surprise, I think.’
The performer revealed that she is also a big ‘fan’ of the actor due to his performance as Roy Kent in the series Ted Lasso.
‘I thought he was going to be more like the character, but he was so soft-spoken and sweet and totally different.’
A source previously told The Sun that Lopez and Goldstein’s chemistry was ‘electric’ while filming the project.
‘They were very touchy, feely, and always laughing, and everyone suspected they were hooking up.’
A separate insider added, ‘During the wrap party, they were all over each other during the dinner and drinks with the rest of the cast.
‘They had a lot of fun while shooting; it was just what Jen needed after Ben Affleck. He put a smile on her face.’

And during the Los Angeles premiere of their upcoming project on Tuesday, the actor also rated her kissing skills.
Goldstein told Entertainment Tonight that her kiss was ‘the best’ and rated her skills a ’12 out of 10.’
Lopez and Affleck’s divorce was finalized last year in February, months after she filed paperwork on their second wedding anniversary.
Last month in April, it was revealed that the Oscar winner gave Lopez ‘his share of their $61 million marital mansion.’
The exes – who purchased the sprawling estate in May 2023 for $60,850,000 – have been attempting to sell it since July 2024, with multiple price cuts along the way, shortly before Lopez filed for divorce.
