The estranged wife of Jason Biggs set off fan fury in recent days after sharing photos of herself getting uncomfortably physical with their oldest son.
Jenny Mollen, 47, posted a series of bizarre photos to Facebook that showed her lying on a bed on top of the former couple’s oldest son, 12-year-old Sid.
The actress and writer’s face was obscured as she held it close to her son’s while she ran her fingers through his hair.
Several concerned commenters also noted how oddly intimate the now-deleted pictures appeared to be, as she was lying between her son’s spread legs.
Mollen – whose split from the 48-year-old American Pie star was reported earlier this month – also set off alarms with some fans due to her post’s caption, which read, ‘Your eldest son will be the most toxic guy you ever date.’
She has also faced backlash over a Substack essay she wrote in May 2026 about being a mom to two boys titled, ‘Please. Stay. I want you. I need you. Oh, God’ – with Valerie Bertinelli blasting the ‘effing weird’ sentiments.
Mollen wrote. ‘Call me old-fashioned, but I only want my sons to marry women with dead mothers.’

Mollen sparked controversy by posting what critics called inappropriate photos of herself lying on top of her 12-year-old Sid, between his spread legs

Mollen detailed her son texting a girl, adding, ‘She was bossing him around and using big words, and he was utterly spun. I complained to Jason that I wanted to intervene before he got hurt and that she wasn’t even hotter than me.’
Bertinelli wrote on Threads, ‘I love my son dearly, One of my happiest days was watching him marry his person. I adore her. And her mother. Like, what am I missing here? Why do you have to make it so effing weird? Jesus Christ that essay.’
She also liked a comment under her post which read, ‘Yeah, I love my son more than life but he’s also a grown-a– man and I too love my daughter-in-law and now I have a grandson to love on. These women that treat their sons like romantic partners creep me the hell out.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to Mollen and Biggs’s representative for comment and has yet to hear back.
Mollen – who also shares a younger son, eight-year-old Lazlo, with Biggs – appeared to have shared a second version of the Facebook post less than half an hour later that deleted one of the original three photos and excised the caption.
The missing photo was the most suggestive part of the original post and seemed to show her pressing her face against her son’s neck while she held his head in her hands.
Mollen also removed the song that had soundtracked the original post, Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s ’03 Bonnie Clyde.
‘This post contains photos and a caption romanticizing a pedophilic, incestuous relationship between a mother and son,’ alleged the note attached to the original post. ‘This is not appropriate behavior or language that a parent should use to describe their relationship with their child.’
The note appended to the smaller, caption-free version of the post alleged that ‘This post romanticizes pedophelia [sic] and the relationship between a mother and son. It is inappropriate and should not be on Facebook.’
The comments on both versions of the post were nearly identical and featured a mix of furious and disgusted reactions from Facebook users.

As of Sunday, both posts have user-generated community notes appended to them. The top note was added to the original post, while the bottom note is featured on the second, edited post
‘Hey so… we don’t date our sons,’ wrote one user.
Another poster suggested that authorities should ‘check her hard drive 🤢🤮,’ while another person wondered, ‘so has anyone called cps [child protective services] yet?’
Several commenters focused on the expression ‘boy mom,’ which Mollen has used multiple times on Facebook and Instagram in recent years.
‘Fellow boy mom here… we don’t claim her 🤢,’ one person wrote, while another suggested that Mollen’s posts illustrated ‘The difference between moms of boys and boymoms.’
Others highlighted the double posts featuring Mollen and her son, though it’s unclear if the move was intentional.
‘To post this once is insane, but posting it twice back to back??’ wrote one shocked user, while another added, ‘So you decided to double down on being weird??’
One user wrote, ‘Girl not you posting at twice as the first time it wasn’t bad enough 😭😂 [sic],’ and another poster warned, ‘Don’t bother changing the caption now. Someone already has it screenshotted 😌.’
One commenter admitted they initially thought the second, edited post was innocuous because they mistook the subjects of the photos.

Bertinelli shared a savage comment on Mollen’s Substack essay
‘I thought this was her eldest son, from his girlfriend’s pov. But that’s the mom 🤐🤮,’ they wrote.
Despite the outpouring of concern, Mollen doesn’t appear to have addressed the criticism of her posts.
On May 25, the same day that she set off the Facebook firestorm, the actress broke her silence on her split from Biggs.
In a Substack essay titled Don’t Tell Me What It Is, she admitted that she has always struggled with the idea of being present, which might have contributed to the separation.
‘I was in a rush to grow up, a rush to graduate college, a rush to land a TV show, and a billboard outside my ex-boyfriend’s apartment,’ Mollen recalled.
‘Everywhere I’ve ever been has felt a little temporary, like a waiting room I’m trapped in before an operation.’
Mollen realized that because she was ‘middle-aged with ADHD,’ it feels ‘impossible to appreciate anything while you’re in it.’
‘The highest highs of my life have all hit like pennies disappearing into a bottomless well,’ Mollen wrote.

‘I’d wait – maybe a moment or two for the sound of something landing, but before it ever did, I was on to the next. Hoping that the next thing would finally be the one that cured me – the one that made me feel worthy and validated in a way that has always evaded me,’ she wrote.
The NY Times bestselling author spent the day packing for her trip to Italy to celebrate her 47th birthday on May 30.
‘I leave for Italy on Wednesday [May 27], which sounds soooo Eat, Pray, Love considering the current state of my life,’ Mollen revealed.
‘But I’m not going to find myself or sleep with some beautiful Italian stranger. I already have two half-Italians at home. I’m actually just going because a friend invited me to her birthday party. It also happens to be my birthday as well.’
According to People, a source said Mollen and her estranged husband Biggs ‘are very much connected.’
‘I have no doubt that they will remain on excellent terms,’ the source said of their co-parenting.
On May 17, an insider exclusively revealed to the Daily Mail that Biggs had enjoyed a ‘boost to his ego’ following his 35-pound weight loss last year, but the stress of making his feature directorial debut with Untitled Home Invasion Romance might have put a ‘wedge’ between him and Mollen.
Mollen hasn’t been publicly pictured with Biggs since they attended the Artwalk NY benefit on November 4, 2025.

The two reportedly met on a blind date around the same time they costarred in Howard Deutch’s dismally reviewed 2008 romantic comedy, My Best Friend’s Girl.
Mollen and Biggs went on to costar in Life Happens (2011), Amateur Night (2016), ABC’s I Like You Just the Way I Am (2016), Netflix’s Chelsea (2017) and TBS’ Dinner and a Movie (2024).
In Mollen’s 2014 memoir, I Like You Just The Way I Am, she infamously revealed that she had hired an escort in 2011 to join her and Biggs in a threesome in an attempt to spice up their marriage, which was only three years old at the time.
Shortly after the book’s publication, Biggs discussed the awkward encounter on The View and admitted that he ‘didn’t have a good time in the end.’
‘It took three ladies over the course of three different days. Let’s just say I didn’t complete the mission,’ he joked, adding that his ‘wife found the whole thing to be quite hysterical even while it was happening.’
‘She was actually on the bed, watching, eating a bag of chips, laughing. So, as you can imagine, I wasn’t really performing to the best of my abilities,’ the American Pie star shared.
‘Also, said prostitute wasn’t engaging with my wife the way I hoped she would,’ Biggs added. ‘So, it all kind of fell apart, and the rest is in the book.’
