Netflix’s “Me Time,” a comedy starring Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg.

The incident took place early Tuesday morning on a movie soundstage at Los Angeles’ Sunset Gower Studios where the comedy is shooting, according to a source with knowledge of the situation but not authorized to speak publicly.

Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an emergency call at 7:04 Tuesday morning and were directed to the unnamed 38-year-old male, who had apparently fallen “a long distance,” according to LAFD spokesperson Brian Humphrey.

According to witness statements, the injured man fell from an elevated platform a distance estimated at 60 to 80 feet before landing on the soundstage floor, Humphrey said. Studio EMT’s were performing CPR on the man who had multiple fractures and was “in grave condition” when LAFD arrived, he said.

LAFD paramedics performed advanced life support measures, including multiple implementations of a defibrillator, and “were able to restore his heartbeat, restore his breathing and he had a blood pressure,” said Humphrey. “He went from being in grave condition to being in critical condition.”

The injured man was rushed to an undisclosed regional hospital where a trauma team was waiting at the door for continued life-saving treatment.

“He has a fighting chance of survival, and I want to emphasize fighting,” said Humphrey. “He was in very critical condition.”

Netflix declined to comment on the incident.

According to Deadline, the film follows a stay-at-home dad (Hart) who finds rare “me time” when his wife and kids are away. He reconnects with his former best friend (Wahlberg) for a wild weekend that nearly upends his life.
