Disney+ to stream all five seasons of The Muppet Show: ‘It’s time to play the music! It’s time to light the lights!’
Subscribers can watch all 120 episodes of the retro variety show created by the late great Jim Henson starting February 19.
‘It’s going to be great to welcome back longtime fans, and to give a new generation of fans a chance to see how we got our start, how Miss Piggy became a star and so much more,’ Kermit the Frog said in a statement to Deadline.
‘It’s time to play the music!’ Disney+ announced Tuesday that they’ll stream all five seasons of The Muppet Show, which originally aired 1976-1981 on ATV/CBS

And Star Wars icon Mark Hamill memorably acted opposite Miss Piggy in a sketch called ‘Pigs in Space’ in 1980.
Other guest stars included Steve Martin, Liza Minelli, Alice Cooper, Julie Andrews, Bernadette Peters, Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Debbie Harry, John Denver, Liberace, and Gene Kelly.
The Walt Disney Company acquired rights to all the Muppets characters back in 2004.
