Judi Evans is battling COVID-19.
The Days of Our Lives star, 55, revealed she contracted the potentially fatal virus while in hospital for an unrelated matter, in an interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday.
‘[Hospital staff] had taken me down for tests a few times without a mask on,’ said the Guiding Light actress, who said she insisted on being tested.

‘It came back positive,’ said Judi in a self-filmed interview from her hospital bed.
The soap star entered treatment on May 21 after breaking bones in a horse riding accident – and has not left the hospital since.

The entertainment publicist also shared that Judi was suffering from ‘fever, aches, a cough and the blood clots’.
‘On top of everything, when she went into surgery on one of her legs, they forgot to numb the leg and cut into her leg while she was full conscience [sic] with no numbing of the area!’ he shared.
He concluded, ‘She just wants to continue to test negative on COVID19 before she can go home and get the rest she so needs!!!’
