Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Farrell for comment, but has yet to hear back.

It is not the first time that the star has rocked a similar buzzcut.

Back in 2021, Farrell notably shaved his head while preparing to play The Penguin in the superhero film The Batman (2022).

He also got rid of his darker locks previously in the early 2000s while promoting movies such as Minority Report (2002) and Phone Booth (2002).

Farrell has been keeping busy and is set to reprise his role of Oz Cobb/The Penguin in the upcoming project The Batman Part II.

The movie, which is directed by Matt Reeves, is in its production stages and is scheduled to hit theaters in February 2028.

The cast also includes Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance and Andy Serkis.

Most plot details have remained under wraps while some stars of the sequel have offered small glimpses into what fans can expect.

Back in June, Farrell revealed that he was getting ready to film scenes as The Penguin once again.

‘I will go fly to London in four or five weeks. I haven’t got much to do on it, but I’ll go for four or five weeks,’ the actor told Collider at the time.

‘I’ll be there for a few weeks. I’m so excited to see it as a fan.’

Farrell additionally shared his thoughts on the script, which was also co-written by Reeves, and labeled it as ‘extraordinary.’

‘The script, I’ve said before, and you know, I said it to you, it’s extraordinary. It really is. Matt is just so brilliant, and he just cares so deeply about the stories he tells.’

And on the Happy Sad Confused podcast last year, the star also expressed, ‘I had many thoughts to share with Matt about the script. I really do think it’s a masterwork.

‘Kind of a contemporary genre masterwork. It’s so brilliant, and Robert has got such a lovely journey to go on and take the audience through.’

Farrell added that it is also ‘dense’ and ‘intelligent,’ while adding, ‘It’s so deep and detailed. I’m saying too much. I think he’s going to make an extraordinary film.’

The star then appeared to add funds to a parking meter during his L.A. outing this week
