Cardi B is coming out with guns blazing – complete with gunshot sound effects – on “Press,” her new single released midnight Friday.

“Press” takes a different tone than her previous two singles – her ode to her Benjamins, “Money,” and her throwback bedroom anthem “Please Me” – for a combative track that’s more in the vein of “Clout,” her recent song with husband Offset, attacking her critics in the media and the rap game alike. 

“Press, press, press, press, press / Cardi don’t need more press / Kill ’em all, put them hoes to rest / Walk in, bulletproof vest / Please tell me who she gon’ check / Murder scene, Cardi made a mess,” she raps in the “Press” chorus, packing more threats elsewhere in the track’s lyrics.

Cardi has made plenty of headlines lately. Recent exploits include bragging on Instagram about spending $80,000 on jewelry for her 10-month-old daughter, Kulture, and griping about her recent concert cancellations as she recovers from cosmetic surgery.

“You know, I hate canceling shows because I love money. I’m a money addict,” Cardi said on Instagram Live Monday, per People and Entertainment Tonight. “And I get paid a lot of money, a lot of money for these shows. A lot of money. I’m canceling millions of dollars in shows, but like, health is wealth so I have to do what I have to do.”
