Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi resurfaced with a new look during a night out in West Hollywood on Friday.

The 51-year-old producer, who initially entered the pop singer’s life back nearly 20 years earlier, was spotted leaving the iconic Chateau Marmont during the rare public outing.

Lutfi had notably been the Baby One More Time hitmaker’s manager starting in 2007 following her divorce from Kevin Federline and amid her mental health struggles.

His latest outing came just two days after Spears climbed out of a car roof on a busy freeway just months after her DUI arrest.

Lutfi kept it casual wearing a black polo shirt as well as black trousers and a pair of white sneakers. His clean-shaven head and scruffy facial hair was in stark contrast to his appearance when he had been in Spears’ life.

At the time, the producer had sported a soul patch and donned a cap which mostly covered his darker hair. See him now.

Daily Mail has reached out to Lutfi for comment, but has yet to hear back.

Lutfi was close to Spears from 2007-2008, briefly becoming her manager in the wake of her divorce from Federline and during her publicized mental health crisis.

In 2008, the singer’s family accused Lutfi of trying to ‘control of her life, home and finances’ after moving in with her.

That same year, Spears’ family was granted a restraining order against the producer and was also the beginning of the music artist’s 13-year conservatorship.

Lutfi sued her family in 2009 for defamation and breach of contract. He claimed that the allegations destroyed his reputation.

Years later in September 2016, the lawsuit was settled outside of court.

Spears was granted another restraining order against Lutfi in 2019 when the songstress claimed he had threatened her family.

The producer had previously expressed that he ‘failed’ the Toxic singer in a post shared to X (then Twitter) in July 2021, shortly before her conservatorship came to an end.

‘Just sitting here listening to that court recording, if she hates me after she’s free I won’t blame her… I failed her.’

He added, ‘I was supposed to protect her from all this, I let her down and we both paid dearly for it – – head in hands..I’m so sorry.’

Last year during an episode of the Popcorned Planet podcast, Lutfi reflected on his time being in Spears’ life leading up to the conservatorship.

‘She’s this incredible star. But aside from that, we had a great time. She was just a f***ing – just a fantastic friend, and a great client.’

The producer became emotional as he claimed that there had been few people around in her life at the time which he labeled as ‘sad.’

Lutfi stated that he ‘didn’t give a d**n’ in regards to what people thought or ‘believed’ about him.

‘I was trying not to watch what was going out there. I didn’t know this was gonna become so deep. I didn’t know. I came in, she asked for help,’ he continued, before claiming Spears had been ‘devastated’ amid her split from Federline.

Lutfi recalled being ‘around for a long time, for maybe eight months where no one saw me.

‘I think there were a couple snippets where in the background, people assumed I was a bodyguard. I didn’t want to be out there…’

Just days before Lutfi’s outing at the Chateau Marmont, Spears was photographed standing through the moonroof of a black Mercedes SUV as it cruised along the busy 101 Freeway near Studio City after traveling from Thousand Oaks on Wednesday.

At one point, Spears stretched both arms across the roof of the moving vehicle and threw her head back in a pose reminiscent of one of her iconic music videos, seemingly unfazed by the steady stream of traffic around her.

With her blonde hair whipping in the wind, the singer put on quite the spectacle in a plunging mini dress as the SUV continued along the packed freeway at around 45mph.

Witnesses estimated Spears remained standing through the moonroof for roughly two minutes before the vehicle eventually exited the highway.

After pulling into a nearby gas station, Spears was seen laughing and chatting with her mystery chauffeur, who has recently been linked to the singer as a possible new boyfriend, in the latest eyebrow-raising outing to come just months after resolving her DUI case.

Meanwhile, a source told Daily Mail that the pop star momentarily stuck her head out to see how much traffic there was.

They said: ‘Britney just went through the sunroof for a quick moment, she wanted to see what the traffic was about up ahead because the cars came to a stop. She wanted to see how long they would be delayed.

‘She used to do this all the time as a kid growing up in the South, she loves having the warm wind blow through her hair in the summer, it’s fun.

‘She is having a fun summer and is happy, she is in a good place. If it’s illegal to put your head through a sunroof, she doesn’t know it! She didn’t mean to do anything bad.’

The eyebrow-raising freeway display is merely the latest chapter in what has become another turbulent stretch for the Toxic singer.

Spears only recently resolved her high-profile DUI case after pleading to a reduced reckless driving charge, known as a ‘wet reckless,’ stemming from her March 4 arrest.

The plea allowed her to avoid jail time, but she was sentenced to 12 months’ probation, fined $571 and ordered to complete 30 hours of DUI education classes.

The agreement also came with strict conditions.

Spears is barred from driving with any intoxicant in her system, must submit to breath, blood, urine or saliva tests if requested by police, and cannot possess or use drugs or marijuana unless medically prescribed.

Spears took to Instagram on Saturday to address the controversy as she wrote: ‘Arching my back to the heavens to god trying to get back all the years I missed….’

The songstress posted a disturbing photo as she broke her silence on the scary stunt in Los Angeles traffic which had left drivers doing double takes.

Along with the photo of her hanging outside of her SUV on the freeway, Spears also posted a disturbing image of a bruised young girl.

Addressing it she wrote: ‘unfortunately what people didn’t see is what my reality used to look like in the next photo. Not anymore!’
