Brad Pitt surfaced with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon in Paris this weekend, on the heels of a stinging new knife-twist in his family drama.
His eldest son Maddox, 24, has just become the latest of the six children he shared with Angelina Jolie to file legal documents asking to drop the surname Pitt.
‘Brangelina’ biologically conceived Shiloh, 20, and their twins Knox and Vivienne, 17, and also adopted Maddox, Pax, 22, and Zahara, 21.
Shiloh legally dropped her father’s last name last year, while Zahara and Vivienne have also informally switched from Jolie-Pitt to merely Jolie.
The Daily Mail confirmed Maddox submitted paperwork Thursday to have Pitt officially taken off his double-barreled surname for ‘personal’ reasons.
His 62-year-old father nevertheless appeared cheerful as he held hands in the French capital the following evening with his 33-year-old girlfriend.

They were also spotted outdoors with a couple of their fellow VIPs – David Fincher, who has directed Pitt in several movies, and his wife Ceán Chaffin.
The two men’s professional association stretches back to their classic 1995 thriller Se7en and continued with such memorable pictures as Fight Club in 1999 and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 2008.
Fincher recently directed Pitt in The Adventures of Cliff Booth, an upcoming follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 release Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

She apparently dropped the action against the FBI on September 25, 2024, via legal documents obtained by In Touch magazine.

Meanwhile Pax suffered a terrifying accident when he crashed his dirt bike into a car in Los Angeles while not wearing a helmet in July 2024.
Sources informed the Daily Mail that Jolie was ‘by his side in hospital,’ while Pitt was ‘distraught and worried over Pax’s accident, but he is unable to reach him.’
The accident came four years after Pax unleashed an explosive social media tirade calling his father a ‘world class a**hole’ and a ‘terrible and despicable person’ who had caused his four younger children to ‘tremble in fear.’
Jolie and Pitt are also still entangled in a legal conflict over the Chateau Miraval, the winery they once shared as a couple in the South of France.

Jolie has brought up her abuse allegations and custody battle over the course of her years-long battle of wills with Pitt over the winery.
She has asked Pitt to ‘end the fighting’ and drop the Chateau Miraval lawsuit against her so that their family can have a chance to ‘heal.’
