'What a load of clap,' N.Y. Daily News says of State of the Union

Here’s a compilation of President Trump clapping for himself during the State of the Union.

The New York Daily News has not been kind to President Trump on many of its covers over the last couple years, and the reaction to Tuesday’s State of the Union speech was no exception.

“What a load of clap,” the paper’s cover for Wednesday’s edition reads. The headline is a reference to the president’s frequent applauding of his own speech — and the ridicule his apparent self-congratulating claps received on social media.

The Daily News said Trump used the address to pat “himself on the back” in a tweet sharing a sneak peek at the cover.
