McAllister, whose district covers many of Franklin County and a city of Alburgh in Grand Isle County, has refused to resign. Colleagues have pronounced he maintains his ignorance and has indicated he has no skeleton to resign.

McAllister was portion on both a Agriculture and Institutions committees in a Senate, though in a final days of a session, he was private from both.
