WASHINGTON — A White House that is fond of aggressive tweets is now protesting a barbed tweet aimed at President Trump.
Republican Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, after a Sunday post post describing the White House as “an adult day care center,” is the latest target of Trump and his aides, including presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway.
“World leaders see that,” Conway told Fox News. “We’ve all worked with Sen. Corker over the years, we thanked him for his service, but I find tweets like this to be incredibly irresponsible.”
In responding to a Trump attack, Corker tweeted Sunday, “It’s a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”

Corker, who emerged as Trump’s most vocal Republican opponent after announcing he would not seek re-election has, was responding to a volley of presidential tweets earlier in the day.
Bob Corker gave us the Iran Deal, that’s about it. We need HealthCare, we need Tax Cuts/Reform, we need people that can get the job done!

In one message, Trump said, “I would fully expect Corker to be a negative voice and stand in the way of our great agenda. Didn’t have the guts to run!”
