Huckabee decides to skip Iowa Straw Poll

Mike Huckabee, who used a Iowa Straw Poll 8 years ago to launch his underfunded 2008 presidential campaign, is skipping a 2016 straw poll.

“I have resolved this year’s Iowa Straw Poll will offer usually to break regressive possibilities and serve commission a Washington statute category and their hand-picked candidates,” Huckabee, a former Arkansas administrator and leader of a 2008 Iowa caucuses, writes in a guest opinion square published Thursday in The Des Moines Register.

That includes former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and late neurosurgeon Ben Carson.
