President Donald Trump is firing back at many in the mainstream media who say he is having trouble finding new representation.

Oh, Craigslist. You crack us up.

Under Jobs, District of Columbia, legal/paralegal, this gem of a career opportunity jumped out.

SEEKING LEAD ATTORNEY FOR DIFFICULT CLIENT (1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW)

Seeking a lead attorney to represent client involved in an ongoing Federal investigation. Must be familiar with laws and procedures around discovery, executive privilege, international financing of licensed real estate, election law and the Logan Act. Working knowledge of social media, especially Twitter is a plus, as is a better than average knowledge of the adult film industry and a collection of Playboy magazines from 1985-2010. Must look the part – Gregory Peck or Tommy Lee Jones type. Prior appearances on Fox News a huge plus.
No fatties.

Must be prepared to work with a client who is very forceful and opinionated about his defense and is his own best counsel.

Basically your job boils down to keeping him from testifying under oath and hoping the rest comes out in the wash.

Ask about our other openings on our staff and submit your resume to be considered for potential openings in the near future. Perhaps the very near future. Like, hit refresh on your browser now. Now again.

Under compensation, the ad promises the contract position could be lucrative. “Client is a hugely wealthy man. Hugely successful. Everyone says it.”

So, polish up those resumes, America! Seize on the fact President Trump’s legal team remains in flux after last week’s abrupt departure of attorney John Dowd. Join a squad now featuring former prosecutor and Gridiron Club ringer-singer Joseph diGenova and broadcaster/legal eagle Jay Sekulow.

But be prepared for competition. So. Much. Competition. Blasting back on articles saying lawyers were turning down the chance to represent him in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, the president tweeted that fame and fortune always would persuade.

Craigslist has had similar administration-related listings (dare we call them “fake employment news”?). Last summer, in the wake of the Anthony “We-hardly-knew-ye” Scaramucci firing, sharp-eyed Craigslist readers spotted an ad for an open White House communications director position.

Although the ad said “literally anyone” is qualified, it also said applicants must be “willing to lie to the American Public.”

It specified those interested in the job must be bilingual in English and Russian, but, “No Spanish speakers please.”

Tuesday’s humorous ad also follows a recent posting for a “gently used” SpaceX orbital rocket for $9.9 million, “or best offer.”

The “seller” said he or she would accept cryptocurrency for payment. No word on whether CEO Elon Musk was behind that listing.
