Northern Ontario forestry producers are anticipating a Canadian economy is about to trade cosmetic for paper.
The sovereign supervision wants to anathema singular use plastics like straws and forks, as early as 2021, and a Forest Products Association of Canada is anticipating that timber and paper will take their place.
Bob Larocque, comparison vice-president of a group, says this would open new markets for northern Ontario mills.
“This will be new forms of finish product growth that will need a stream products that are being done by a northern pap and paper facilities,” Larocque said. “It’s formulating and progressing a some-more different marketplace than we have today, so that’s impossibly useful for a stream facilities.”
