WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Former Miami Dolphins fullback Rob Konrad swam 9 miles behind to seaside after descending off his vessel while fishing off a South Florida coast.
The U.S. Coast Guard reports that Konrad had left fishing alone Wednesday after being forsaken off during a Boca Raton dock. Friends became endangered after he didn’t accommodate them for dinner, and a Coast Guard after sent a helicopter to demeanour for him.
The Coast Guard pronounced Konrad apparently fell off a 36-foot boat, that had been on automobile pilot. Unable to get behind to a boat, Konrad began swimming toward shore. He done it some time after 4 a.m. Thursday and contacted a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials contend a 38-year-old was taken to a circuitously hospital, where he was treated for probable hypothermia.
After personification 4 years during Syracuse, Konrad was drafted by a Dolphins in 1999 and played for a group until 2004.
