SAG Awards Winners For 2015 Include ‘Birdman,’ Eddie Redmayne, Julianne Moore & More
On a heels of winning during Saturday night’s Producers Guild AwardsScreen Actors Guild Awards
It wasn’t a sum brush for “Birdman” during a SAG Awards: Eddie Redmayne won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Lead Role for “The Theory of Everything,” besting Keaton for a award. (The dual group are neck and neck in a Best Actor competition during a Academy Awards.) Oscar favorites Julianne Moore (Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Lead Role for “Still Alice”), J.K. Simmons (Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for “Whiplash”) and Patricia Arquette (Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for “Boyhood”) all took home trophies on Sunday night as well. It’s approaching those 3 actors will win in their analogous Oscars’ categories during a Academy Awards subsequent month.
On a radio side, “Downton Abbey” grabbed a Screen Actors Guild endowment for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Viola Davis was awarded Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for “How to Get Away With Murder,”
