John Carroll, Former Editor Of Baltimore Sun And Los Angeles Times, Dies At 73
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — John S. Carroll, former editor of a Baltimore Sun and a Los Angeles Times, that won 13 Pulitzer Prizes during his five-year tenure, has died. He was 73.
Carroll died Sunday morning during his home in Lexington, Kentucky, where he was once editor of a Lexington Herald-Leader, pronounced his wife, Lee Carroll. He had been pang from Creutzfeldt-Jakob (KROYTZ’-felt YAK-ohb) Disease, a singular and debilitating neurological disorder.
