Upside Down Waterfalls Exist — And They’re Awesome

We’ve seen all kinds of waterfalls: hidden waterfallscrystal blue waterfallsunderwater waterfallsfrozen waterfallslava falls

But usually when we suspicion we’d seen them all — alas!Upside Down

These oxymorons are indeed utterly natural, despite rare. Rather than defying gravity, as their name suggests, upside down waterfalls occur when strong gusts of breeze blow conflicting a waterfall’s flow

So really, it’s an visual illusion: upside down waterfalls usually seem to be issuing in a conflicting direction. Mother nature, we so silly.
