Police Officer Surprises Kindergarten Teacher With A+ Proposal

Sometimes, when we know, we know. And during Dain Metcalfe’s initial date with Auika Muragin, as they star-gazed on a beach in Hawaii, he knew.

“I remember looking down into her beautiful eyes and feeling something we had never gifted before,” Metcalfe, a military officer for Kauai County, told The Huffington Post. “All we could consider about was marrying her.”

A week-long hurl between a dual blossomed into a long-distance relationship. (Although they are both from a island of Kauai, Muragin changed to Oregon to learn Kindergarten 8 years ago.)

After 8 months, Metcalfe couldn’t wait any longer.

He flew to Oregon for Muragin’s birthday and, with a assistance of her co-workers during a school, designed to introduce while doing a display for her kindergarten category on his pursuit as a military officer in Hawaii.

“I wanted to find a approach to introduce to her in uniform, since being a military officer is critical to me,” he said.

After Metcalfe’s display to a class, Muragin’s co-workers asked her to tighten her eyes for a game. When she non-stop her eyes, she found Metcalfe down on one knee and her students holding a pointer that read, “Ms. Auika Will we marry me?”

“When we saw a pointer and saw him kneeling we went into finish shock,” Muragin told HuffPost. “As talked, we kept carrying to tell myself, ‘Don’t cry so loud!’ … we didn’t wish to skip what he was observant with my continuous sobbing.”

Metcalfe felt only as emotional.

“Being a military officer,” he told HuffPost, “I have had to understanding with copiousness of situations that have been frightful or haughtiness racking, nonetheless that was a scariest thing I’ve ever finished by far.”
