Nearly $500K Spent On Honolulu Rail Travel, Records Show

On May 25, 2013, Honolulu rail arch Dan Grabauskas boarded a craft for Europe to check in on a Italian sight manufacturer that had sealed a $1.4 billion agreement with a city to design, build and work a driverless system.

AnsaldoBreda and AnsaldoSTS, that together form Ansaldo Honolulu JV, were confronting a torrent of bad press for trashy construction and damaged contractual promises from Buffalo, New York, to Gothenburg, Sweden.
