Lost Cat Reunited With Michigan Family After 19 Months In Hawaii

After watchful 19 months and roving 4,500 miles, one intensely propitious cat was finally reunited with his owners final Friday.

In Dec 2013, as a Sutherland family was scheming to fly from Hawaii to Michigan for a permanent move, one family member was nowhere to be found. Bogie, their Siamese cat, had transient from his cage as he was being cumulative in a load reason during Honolulu International Airport. 

A deputy from United Airlines told Hawaii news source KHON2 that airfield employees searched for a cat following his escape

“Weeks went by. Months went by and, we know, pretty most we’d given adult hope

Bogie was blank in Honolulu for some-more than a year and half — until Bill Antilla came along.

Thinking a cat competence have a microchip, Antilla gained a cat’s trust over a march of several months and eventually prisoner him.

Luckily, Antilla was right. The Siamese cat was Bogie, and his microchip indicate showed that his family was vital in Detroit.

Domesticated cats are “not used to being on a street,” Antilla told Honolulu’s KITV. “They don’t know how to survive. They get pounded by other cats and get injured. But, this cat is one of a propitious ones.

Soon after, Bogie was being installed onto a craft to be reunited with his family, 4,500 miles away.
