Hawaii Lawmaker Who Smashed Homeless People’s Shopping Carts Presses Charges Against Teens In Beating

HONOLULU — A Hawaii state deputy pronounced Thursday he will press chargesa conduct damage and painful ribs

Isaiah Totoa, 17, told Honolulu Civil Beat that he and a 14-year-old crony were indignant that Brower was filming them and refused to stop

His preference to press charges comes after his self-proclaimed “tough guy” approach

“If someone is sleeping during night on a train stop, we don’t do anything,” he told a Star-Advertiser in 2013. “But if they are sleeping during a day, I’ll travel adult and say, ‘Get your donkey moving.'”

“How would we feel if we walked in your residence and only started recording you, right? We live here, this a house, honour it,” a teen said. “We don’t select to live like this. If we had a choice to go to a residence right now and live in that residence … trust and believe, we would be in my house. we wouldn’t be vital underneath one tent.”
