Torstar signs agreement to squeeze domestic website iPolitics

Torstar Corp. announced Thursday that it has sealed an agreement to squeeze some resources of Ottawa–based domestic website iPolitics Inc.

The understanding is approaching to tighten on or around October 1. 

In a written matter about a purchase, Torstar President and CEO John Boynton praised iPolitics for a “proven record of providing endless online coverage of sovereign and provincial politics and supervision policies opposite Canada.”

The devise is to enhance to enhance a Toronto Star’s coverage of politics while progressing and expanding offerings on iPolitics.ca, pronounced Boynton, who is also publisher of a Star.

“This singular event will concede us to yield vicious in-depth process coverage from iPolitics along with a highly-recognized stating and opinion columns from a Toronto Star’s Ottawa team,” he said.

The dual organizations will say apart Ottawa bureaus. 

Founded in 2010 by editor James Baxter, iPolitics Inc. runs a network of digital and amicable media sites offering daily domestic news, a quarterly magazine, podcasts and parliamentary monitoring services.
