The American publisher left in Syria in Aug 2012. But his parents, Debra and Marc Tice, have remained confident that he will lapse home safely. The family was recently buoyed by a U.S. supervision comment that there is “high confidence” Tice is still alive.
“It was intensely comforting,” Marc said. “And uplifting,” Debra added.
“We have each reason to trust he’s pretty well,” Marc pronounced in an talk for CNN’s “Reliable Sources.” “And so we continue to press that there’s each reason to do all possible. Keep doing all probable to move him home.”
The Tices also voiced wish that a Trump administration continues President Obama’s efforts to find Austin.
“We do trust that a stream administration has been all in for Austin, doing all it can to move him home,” Debra said.
The Tices pronounced they have started “reaching out” to a Trump transition team. “We have each certainty that a movement that has been combined with a stream administration will continue to grow with a incoming administration until Austin is safely home.”

The Newseum, a museum dedicated to a news attention on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., recently unfurled a ensign about Tice, seeking to boost open recognition of a case. Trump’s initial motorcade will pass by a Newseum on Jan 20.
Marc Tice reiterated what a family has pronounced in before interviews — that “his captors have not reached out to us.”
But Debra pronounced “we’ve had convincing reports, ever given Austin was taken, that he is alive, so we’ve hung onto those messages but doubt, but any doubt.”
The Tices spent a Christmas holiday with their other 6 children in Houston.
“Like many others, a family has developed a resources of dearly hold traditions, that are partial of a family identity,” Marc and Debra pronounced in a New Year’s Eve email message. “If Austin were to travel in a doorway this holiday deteriorate or any given he’s been captive, he would know accurately where we were in a routine of a celebrations, and be means to immediately join in.”
