NYSE owners reportedly bids to buy eBay for $30B

The owners of a New York Stock Exchange has done an offer to buy online marketplace eBay Inc., a Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

The Journal pronounced International Exchange Inc. is valuing eBay during some-more than $30 billion US, compared to eBay’s value of around $28 billion US before a report.

The journal cited people informed with a matter who were not named.

Atlanta-based Intercontinental Exchange, improved famous as ICE, declined to criticism on a report. EBay did not immediately respond to ask for comment.

Activist shareholders have been pulling eBay to make some poignant vital changes, including offered off the tenure of online sheet resale site StubHub.

Shares in EBay, that is formed in San Jose, California, were adult some-more than 7 per cent in afternoon trading. ICE’s shares slumped some-more than 5 per cent.
