General Motors Co. is recalling roughly 800,000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks worldwide.
The association says a vehicles can temporarily remove electric energy steering assist, generally during low-speed turns. If that happens, a motorist could remove control of a steering wheel.
The remember affects trucks from a 2014 indication year. Most of a vehicles were sole in a U.S., though roughly 100,000 were sole in other markets.
GM will forewarn owners about a recall. Dealers will refurbish a electric energy steering program for free.
