The companies contend a complement will be used by automakers worldwide to run self-driving vehicles. It will be stretchable so automakers can keep their singular code identities.

The pierce is a latest in a array of acquisitions and partnerships announced by automobile and record companies as they competition to muster self-driving vehicles.

Fiat Chrysler also has a partnership to yield vehicles and implement record grown by Waymo, Google’s unconstrained automobile unit. A Fiat Chrysler mouthpiece says a partnership will continue.
