Did the\u00a0man who allegedly made the \u201cDrunk Pelosi\u201d video<\/a> deserve to be doxxed?<\/p>\n

The Daily Beast faced backlash on social media Sunday after one of its reporters was accused of doxxing a private citizen who allegedly created the video and posted it on Facebook.<\/p>\n

The man described by The Daily Beast has denied he created the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Five<\/a>\u201d debated the topic Wednesday with co-host Jesse Watters<\/a> saying that alleged video maker should not have been exposed and that the media is upset because ordinary citizens can now work on an \u201ceven playing field.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe old media gatekeepers, the\u00a0old guard have lost control of\u00a0the message,”\u00a0They’ve lost control of the\u00a0narrative because now anyone of\u00a0us can go online and manipulate\u00a0technology and video and it’s\u00a0kind of even the playing field and they are scared,\u201d Watters said.<\/p>\n

The manipulated video shows House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.<\/a>,\u00a0slurring her words and her voice sounding garbled. Copies of the clip had also been found on Twitter and YouTube, which the latter had removed.<\/p>\n

Fox Business\u2019 Kennedy<\/a> noted that doxxing the video maker is a \u201ctool of behavioral control.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you’re worried that someone\u2019s of\u00a0going to put all your personal\u00a0details, you’re going to think\u00a0twice about putting something\u00a0out there,\u201d Kennedy said.<\/p>\n

However, co-host Juan Williams disagreed and argued that the video maker should be held accountable.<\/p>\n
