Shares of Hudson’s Bay Co. jumped Wednesday on news that Austrian organisation Signa Holding done a 3 billion euro ($4.5 billion Cdn) bid for HBC’s German dialect store sequence Galeria Kaufhof.

Reuters primarily reported a bid Wednesday, citing unnamed sources. Signa is a primogenitor association of Karstadt, another German dialect store sequence that is a arch aspirant to Kaufhof.​
