In the wake of former Valve writer Marc Laidlaw’s massive post that potentially revealed the once planned Half-Life 2: Episode 3 that dropped last week, fans have decided to sort of take matters into their own hands.
They’ve created a game jam; that’s an event where developers make small games over a short period of time typically based on a single theme. This one is the “Epistle 3 Jam,†a nod to Laidlaw’s aforementioned post titled, “Epistle 3.â€
Developers partaking in the “Epistle 3 Jam†are tasked with using Laidlaw’s post as the basis for any type of Half-Life game they want to make, and they have just over two months to toss in their submissions.
So far, the “Epistle 3 Jam†has one entry and 48 participants. That should spread, of course.
Is it weird that I’m hoping to see something like Thomas Was Alone only with the names from the Epistle 3 text? Am I crazy? Don’t answer that.
